Cédric Bouchard: the fruit of experience, but an emblematic figure

Cédric Bouchard is an original company. In fact, it was born of experience. It was in 2000 that Cédric Bouchard, son of a Champagne winemaker, decided to try his luck after meeting a number of organic producers. Less than a hectare was loaned to him, but the experiment was a resounding success. Today, Cédric Bouchard wines are emblematic of their region, and more particularly of the Les Roses de Jeanne house. Although this house is a recent addition, its production, though small, is well established at a high level of quality: 3,600 bottles are produced each year.
And the vintages stand up for themselves. They are all made from pinot noir, pinot blanc and chardonnay. Right from the start, the first cuvée of "Roses des Jeannes" was a resounding success. The wines are diversified, offering hints of hazelnut, plum and even brioche. Ripe fruit is king. On the other hand, it's worth noting that production remains extremely modest, and that the winemaker has no plans to expand in terms of quantity. It's therefore difficult to get hold of one of these bottles, which are virtually confidential.
