Domaine du Pegau

Domaine Pégau: the historic figurehead

Domaine Pégau is a historic name in the Rhône Valley. In existence since 1670, it is nevertheless run by a family that is not eponymous: the Feraud family. Since 1987, it has been under the aegis of Paul and Laurence Feraud. The Pégau wines owe a great deal to Laurence, who rethought the estate's sales strategy, and gave some of these wines their speculative character. Here, in the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, 18 hectares of vines produce low-yielding wines sought after the world over.
Among the great cuvées is Da Capo, a speculative wine par excellence. The Cuvée Laurence, and in particular the 2012 vintage, are also noteworthy for their fruit and floral aromas. Finally, there's Pink Pégau, a rosé that stands out for its character. While Domaine Pégau is best known for its reds, it has diversified. All in all, Pégau wines are robust, massive and full of presence. Owner Laurence Feraud favors vinification at a high level of maturity. The result: these are wines for the table, to be enjoyed by all.

Domaine du Pegau is a producer of Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines in France. The Cuvée Réservée is considered one of the finest wines produced by the estate. The Cuvée Da Capo is also highly appreciated for its unique character and aromatic complexity. Domaine du Pegau cuvées are renowned for their high quality and perfect balance between power and finesse. These wines are outstanding examples of the excellence of French viticulture.
