Domaine Auguste Clape

Domaine Auguste Clape is an iconic winery located in the Cornas region, in the heart of the Rhône Valley, France. Founded by Auguste Clape, this family estate is recognized for its major contribution to the Cornas appellation and for the exceptional quality of its wines. The Domaine Auguste Clape vineyards extend over some 8 hectares of unique terroirs composed of granitic soils. These terroirs are ideally located on the steep slopes of Cornas, where the vines are exposed to the sun and benefit from excellent ventilation. The wines produced by Domaine Auguste Clape are mainly made from Syrah grapes, which are cultivated with great care and respect for tradition. Grapes are harvested by hand, and vinification is carried out naturally, without the addition of excessive chemicals. This traditional approach preserves the authenticity of the wines while fully expressing the Cornas terroir. Domaine Auguste Clape wines are renowned for their power, aromatic complexity and exceptional ageing capacity. They represent the very essence of the Cornas appellation, and are much sought-after by lovers of fine Rhône wines.
