Tribut: a benchmark of the Chablis terroir
Laurent Tribut is a Burgundy wine that is still family-run. Located in Poinchy, this estate is a benchmark of the Chablis terroir. Laurent Tribut's credo is to intervene as little as possible in the ageing of his wine. The vines are not systematically treated and are treated with respect for the environment. Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats, then in oak barrels. All that remains is light filtration. Domaine Tribut remains a modest estate, although its size has recently increased to 7 hectares.
Annual production is around 40,000 bottles, and around 4 appellations, including 3 Premiers Crus (Côte de Léchet, Beauroy and Montmains). These white wines show great variety from bottle to bottle, but some are very expressive, spicy or fruity. Others are more refined, with hints of iodine. Finally, Chablis Villages prefers the freshness and taste of lime blossom. Despite its relative rarity, it's quite possible to have a Château Tribut on your table, at a price of between 25 and 30 euros. Please note: no sales are made at the estate.
