Château Haut Batailley
Château Haut-Batailley is a renowned winegrowing estate located in the Médoc region, in Pauillac, on the left bank of the Gironde, in Bordeaux, France. The history of Château Haut-Batailley goes back several centuries, and it was classified Cinquième Grand Cru in the official 1855 classification of Médoc wines. Château Haut-Batailley's vineyards are planted on deep gravel soils, characteristic of the Pauillac region. They are planted mainly with classic Bordeaux grape varieties, notably Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Château Haut-Batailley's vinification is based on traditional techniques, with fermentation in stainless steel vats and ageing in French oak barrels. The resulting wines are renowned for their structure, balance and ageing potential. Château Haut-Batailley wines express the unique character of Pauillac, with aromas of black fruit, blackcurrant and well-integrated woody notes. They are appreciated by Bordeaux wine lovers the world over.
