Château Haut Batailley

Château Haut-Batailley is a renowned winegrowing estate located in the Médoc region, in Pauillac, on the left bank of the Gironde, in Bordeaux, France. The history of Château Haut-Batailley goes back several centuries, and it was classified Cinquième Grand Cru in the official 1855 classification of Médoc wines. Château Haut-Batailley's vineyards are planted on deep gravel soils, characteristic of the Pauillac region. They are planted mainly with classic Bordeaux grape varieties, notably Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Château Haut-Batailley's vinification is based on traditional techniques, with fermentation in stainless steel vats and ageing in French oak barrels.
