Histoire du domaine
Born into a family of winegrowers in Celles-sur-Ource, Cédric Bouchard initially worked in Paris as a wine merchant and sommelier. He returned to the Aube region in 2000 to set up his own production business, Roses de Jeanne. In the early days, he cultivated, in particular, the ‘Parcelle des Ursules’ plot, planted with Pinot Noir, and had just over one hectare of vines at his disposal. At the same time, his father continued to tend vines, the wines from which were initially sold under the ‘Inflorescence’ label. Over the following years, Cédric Bouchard gradually took over or incorporated some of these family plots into his business. Since 2014, the cuvées have been marketed under the single name Roses de Jeanne. The estate vinifies its wines separately by plot, grape variety and vintage, producing single-vineyard champagnes. Cédric Bouchard remains the owner-winemaker and oversees the winemaking process himself.
Les Ursules
Les Ursules is a Blanc de Noirs champagne made exclusively from Pinot Noir from the eponymous lieu-dit in Celles-sur-Ource, in the Côte des Bar. Created with the 2000 harvest, this single-parcel cuvée was Cédric Bouchard's first wine under the Roses de Jeanne label. It follows his principle of expressing a single site, a single grape variety, and a single vintage.

Histoire de la cuvée
In 2000, Cédric Bouchard began his activity with the family parcel Les Ursules, chosen despite its low yields. He vinified his Pinot Noir harvest separately and marketed this first wine in 2002 under the Roses de Jeanne label. Les Ursules thus constitutes the founding and historical cuvée of the estate.
