Deutz
Deutz: a flagship of the Côte des Blancs
Deutz began its history in the 19th century, in 1838 to be precise. Today, it is one of the most renowned producers in Champagne. Its production is substantial: 2.5 million bottles are produced each year from a 200-hectare vineyard in Aÿ. The blend of pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay produces sublime wines. It should be pointed out that its plots, some of which are among the most attractive in the Côte des Blancs, have everything to please. Today, Deutz wines are exported to more than 40 countries.
Some of the most exceptional are the Amour de Deutz 2002, the 1999 vintage of the Cuvée William Deutz, which is incredibly full-bodied. The Deutz Brut Classic expresses all that the grape varieties have to offer, as it is made up of equal parts of each. The wine recovers the fruit of the pinot noir, the texture and vinosity of the pinot meunier, but also the beautiful colour of the Chardonnay and flavours of acacia or candy. Refined, Deutz Champagnes are chiselled, made for connoisseurs who love high sensations.
