Domaine Pégau: the historic figurehead

Domaine Pégau is a historic name in the Rhône Valley. Although it has existed since 1670, it is run by a family that is not of the same name: the Feraud family. Since 1987, it has been under the aegis of Paul and Laurence Feraud. The Pégau wines owe a great deal to Laurence, who rethought the estate's sales strategy and gave some of the wines their speculative character. Here, in the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, 18 hectares of vines produce low-yield wines that are sought after the world over.
Among the great cuvées is Da Capo, a speculative wine par excellence. There is also the Cuvée Laurence, and in particular the 2012 vintage, which is full of fruit and floral aromas. Finally, there's Pink Pégau, a rosé that stands out for its character. Although Domaine Pégau is best known for its reds, it has diversified. All in all, Pégau wines are robust, massive and full of presence. Owner Laurence Feraud favours vinification at a high level of maturity. The result: these are wines for the table, to be enjoyed by all.

Domaine du Pegau is a producer of Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines in France. The Cuvée Réservée is considered to be one of the finest wines produced by the estate.
