Domain Bernard Bonin Meursault Les Tillets 2021 Bottle (75cl)
The 2021 Domaine Bernard Bonin Meursault Les Tillets is a white Burgundy wine from the lieu-dit Les Tillets within the Meursault appellation. Classified as a village appellation, it is made from 100% Chardonnay. This parcel-specific cuvée comes from biodynamically farmed vines. The 2021 vintage thus combines the identity of Meursault with the specific expression of the Les Tillets climat, vinified by Domaine Bernard Bonin.

Histoire du domaine
The estate's history is rooted in the Michelot family, coopers in Meursault before turning to viticulture in the 19th century. After the Second World War, Bernard Michelot, born in 1926, joined his father Alfred in the vineyards and then married Lucie Buisson in 1949. The couple expanded the property, introduced estate bottling in the 1950s, and gradually grew the family vineyard to 19 hectares. In 1998, Bernard and Lucie Michelot divided the estate among their three daughters. Geneviève Michelot and her daughter Véronique Bonin then pooled their seven-hectare share under the name Michelot Mère et Fille. Véronique Bonin and Nicolas Bernard subsequently took over this operation, which became Domaine Bernard-Bonin and produced its first vintage in 1999. The couple quickly initiated an organic conversion, officially certified in 2015, and began experimenting with biodynamic practices in 2007. In 2021, the acquisition of plots originating from Chantal, Véronique's aunt, brought the estate's surface area to nine hectares.

Histoire de la parcelle
The application file for the Climats of the Burgundy vineyard to UNESCO lists Les Tillets as a climat of Meursault in cadastral section BK, on the 1988 cadastre. The traditional origin of the name is linked to the lime trees of the slope, formerly sought after for their medicinal uses.
