Camille Thiriet Bourgogne Chardonnay Cuvée Confidentielle 2024 Bouteille (75cl)
The Bourgogne Chardonnay Cuvée Confidentielle 2024 from Camille Thiriet is a white Burgundy crafted from 100 % Chardonnay. This cuvée comes from a century-old parcel located in Mâcon-Cruzille and is intentionally released as Bourgogne Blanc to favor balance and freshness. The wine is aged for ten months in oak barrels, a choice that structures its texture while supporting its mineral expression. Jancis Robinson awards it 16,5/20 and recommends drinking between 2026 and 2031.

Camille Thiriet
Founded in 2016, Domaine Camille Thiriet is located in Corgoloin, in the southern part of the Côte de Nuits. Camille Thiriet and Matt Chittick craft single-plot cuvées mainly from the Bourgogne and Côte de Nuits-Villages appellations, using artisanal methods and a measured use of new oak. Histoire du domaine
Camille Thiriet and Canadian Matthew "Matt" Chittick met at Domaine de Bellene, where Matt was cellarmaster between 2011 and 2014 while Camille worked as sales manager. After searching for parcels or grape supplies starting in 2015, they founded Maison MC Thiriet in 2016 and produced their first vintage in a small garage in Comblanchien, with around 2,000 bottles. Initially conceived as a micro-negociant, the project gradually evolved into a wine estate: in 2021, the couple acquired their first owned vineyards, 0.80 hectare of Côte de Nuits-Villages "Le Clos Magny" in Corgoloin. In 2022, taking over Domaine Gilles Jourdan added about 5 hectares to the operation. Domaine Camille Thiriet now spans 6 hectares and notably produces Bourgogne Aligoté, white and red Bourgogne, as well as white and red Côte de Nuits-Villages. The company Maison MC Thiriet, created on September 1, 2016, is managed by Camille Thiriet and Matthew Chittick.
Cuvée Confidentielle
Camille Thiriet's foundational white cuvée, marketed as Bourgogne Blanc and produced in limited quantities from Chardonnay.
- Origin of the cuvée name
- The name evokes the extremely limited production of the early days, crafted from just a few barrels in a small garage. It also initially referred to the very small surface area of the original plot.
- Cuvée creation year
- 2016
- Style of the cuvée
- Taut, harmonious and mineral Chardonnay, barrel-aged, with a profile evoking white flowers, citrus or yellow fruits, chalk, flint and a saline or iodine nuance.
- Position within the range
- Foundational cuvée, rare and produced in low volumes, positioned as an ambitious and singular expression of the regional appellation Bourgogne Blanc.
Histoire de la cuvée
Created in the house's very first vintage in 2016, Cuvée Confidentielle was one of the first two wines produced by Camille Thiriet. The first bottles were crafted artisanally in a garage lacking electricity. The precise origin of the grapes has evolved over time; the official website currently indicates a century-old plot in Mâcon-Cruzille, voluntarily declassified as Bourgogne Blanc.
