Bruno Clair Marsannay La Charme aux Prêtres 2021 Bouteille (75cl)

The 2021 Marsannay La Charme aux Prêtres from Domaine Bruno Clair is a Village-level red Burgundy wine made from 100% Pinot Noir. This single-plot cuvée comes from a hillside located at around 300 metres of altitude, with a south-east exposure, on clay-limestone soils; the vines were planted in 1962 and 1980. The vinification combines 30 to 50% whole clusters with fermentation in wooden vats, followed by 18 to 20 months of ageing in barrels, of which about 20% are new. The Wine Advocate awards it 88-90/100. The publication describes a supple and vibrant Marsannay, featuring red fruits and spiced plums, lifted by undertones of forest floor and boasting a firmer structure on the finish.
