Prieuré Roch: The star of Nuits Saint-Georges
The Prieuré Roch estate was created in 1988 by Henry-Frédéric Roch, grandson of Henry Leroy, the famous founder of Maison Leroy. The history of this prestigious estate is closely linked to that of Domaine de la Romanée Conti, as it has been co-managed since 1992 with its current director Aubert De Villaine.
Covering an area of 14 hectares, and producing mainly wines under the Nuits Saint Georges appellation, the wines of Prieuré Roch are real gems, the fruit of a singular vinification process carried out by passionate men from the noblest wine-growing families in Burgundy. The wines of Domaine Prieuré Roch have the particularity of being produced at lower yields than those usually practised in the Nuits Saint-Georges appellation, in compliance with the rules of organic viticulture.
The estate also has a monopoly on the Clos des Corvées parcel, producing 9,000 bottles a year of exceptional quality and great finesse, giving them unprecedented rarity and value the world over.
Domaine Prieuré Roch is a well-known Burgundy wine producer, specialising in the production of Pinot Noir. Their vineyards include prestigious plots such as Clos Vougeot, where they produce high-quality wines. The estate's wines are considered to be the jewels of the region and are appreciated by Pinot Noir enthusiasts the world over.
