Domaine Remoissenet Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru Les Bouchères 2022 Bouteille (75cl)
The 2022 Domaine Remoissenet Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru Les Bouchères is a 100% Chardonnay white Burgundy from the Meursault appellation. This cuvée comes from the Premier Cru climat of Les Bouchères, located mid-slope between Les Gouttes d’Or and Le Porusot. The purchased musts originate from a stony, limestone-rich sector that is warmer and earlier-ripening. The wine is fermented using indigenous yeasts in oak barrels, roughly 20% of which are new, and subsequently aged in those same barrels.

Histoire du domaine
Remoissenet Père et Fils was founded in Beaune in 1877 and established itself in a historic 14th-century building in the heart of the town. The company remained in the Remoissenet family until 2005. During the final decades of this period, Roland Remoissenet was at the helm. When he retired in 2005, the company, its cellars, stocks and vineyards were acquired by a group led by the American financier Edward L. Milstein. The reorganisation that followed included the appointment of Bernard Repolt as managing director and the arrival of oenologist Claudie Jobard ahead of the 2005 grape harvest. In 2008, the company reacquired plots in several Côte de Nuits appellations, including Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Charmes-Chambertin and Clos de Vougeot. Remoissenet Père et Fils now operates as both a wine estate and a wine merchant, producing wine from grapes grown on its own vineyards as well as from grapes selected from partner growers. Recent legal filings identify Edward Milstein as the managing director of Remoissenet Père et Fils SCS, of which Remoissenet Holdings Ltd is the general partner.
Les Bouchères
Les Bouchères is a climat officially classified as a Premier Cru of the AOC Meursault, located mid-slope between Les Gouttes d'Or to the north and Porusot to the south. Professional sources dedicated to this site describe a steep hillside, facing south-east, with pale clay-limestone, pebbly, and very stony soils. Good drainage is associated with the steep inclination and abundance of stones. The production specifications authorize this climat for still white or red wines, although the reference studied is a white wine.

Histoire de la parcelle
Les Bouchères appears in the regulatory list of Meursault climats that can accompany the "Premier Cru" designation. The AOC Meursault was recognized on July 31, 1937, and the specific plot area intended for Premiers Crus was approved by the INAO on September 5 and 6, 2001. No more specific historical event regarding the climat has been recorded due to a lack of sufficiently precise institutional documentation.
