Histoire du domaine
The estate's origins date back to the vines brought together by Jules Groffier (1898-1974). During a family division, part of the vineyard went to his son Robert—the founder of Domaine Robert Groffier Père & Fils—and another part to his daughter Bernadette Groffier. Her marriage to a member of the Peirazeau family led to the creation of Domaine Bernadette Peirazeau-Groffier, under which name Chambolle-Musigny premier crus Les Amoureuses and Les Hauts-Doix, among others, were marketed. At the time, the estate sold most of its harvest to négociants and bottled only a small portion. Their son Gérard gradually took over the business, continuing this setup under the Gérard Peirazeau & Fils label. Laurent Peirazeau, Gérard's son, subsequently took on greater responsibilities and now runs the estate with Sophie Charlopin, while his parents remain involved. From 2019 onwards, he significantly increased the proportion bottled under the family label while reducing sales to négociants. He personally works in the vineyards and the cellar, managing a 3.65-hectare heritage spanning thirteen appellations.
Les Amoureuses
Les Amoureuses is a climat officially classified as a Premier Cru of the AOC Chambolle-Musigny, located immediately below the Musigny grand cru. Its morphology is heterogeneous: an upper southeastern-facing appendage precedes a main section curving from southeast to south, where the slope softens significantly towards the bottom. The shallow clay soil rests on a compact limestone substrate. The geology varies with altitude, with Calcaire de Comblanchien dominating in the upper two-thirds, while the lower third rests on Calcaire de Prémeaux and Marnes à Ostrea acuminata.

Histoire de la parcelle
Les Amoureuses was already listed among the "first cuvées" of Chambolle in Jules Lavalle's classification published in 1855, right after Musigny and Petits-Musigny classified as head of cuvée. The AOC Chambolle-Musigny was recognized by decree on September 11, 1936. The specific parcel area granting the right to the Premier Cru designation was approved by the INAO on June 1 and 2, 1988, and the official specifications explicitly cite Les Amoureuses among the classified climats.
