Histoire du domaine
The Roulot family has been based in Meursault since the late 18th century. The estate, in its modern form, developed primarily from the 1950s onwards under the leadership of Guy Roulot, born in 1929. His marriage to Geneviève Coche coincided with the expansion of the family’s wine-growing estate. Guy Roulot played a key role in promoting the separate bottling of wines from several ‘lieux-dits’ in Meursault. Following his death in 1982, the estate was temporarily managed by a succession of winemakers. His son Jean-Marc Roulot, who was then pursuing a career as an actor in Paris, finally took over the estate in January 1989. He continued to expand the vineyard and converted the vines to organic farming from 1999 onwards. The estate is now run by Jean-Marc Roulot, with Éric Bodin as cellar master and head of winemaking at his side.
Les Tillets
Les Tillets is a climat of Meursault located at the top of the slope, west of the village, situated in particular above the Gouttes d'Or and Les Bouchères sectors. This high-altitude terroir, oriented from east to southeast, belongs to the Meursault village appellation without Premier Cru classification. The described soils are thin, stony, and of the rendzina type, with gravelly scree and white marls resting on hard limestone sometimes close to the surface.

Histoire de la parcelle
The application file for the Climats of the Burgundy vineyard to UNESCO lists Les Tillets as a climat of Meursault in cadastral section BK, on the 1988 cadastre. The traditional origin of the name is linked to the lime trees of the slope, formerly sought after for their medicinal uses.
