Denarius 2019 Bouteille (75cl)
Denarius 2019 is a Bordeaux red wine from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, associated with Loïc Pasquet. Its blend brings together Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. This cuvée is part of a winemaking approach focused on ungrafted vines and amphora aging, two elements that set the owner's approach apart. A Bordeaux red with a precise identity, built on a blend of classic grape varieties complemented by Petit Verdot.

Denarius
Denarius is a wine by Loïc Pasquet from a distinct sector of the Liber Pater vineyard in Landiras, in the Graves, rather than an independent estate. It comes from ungrafted vines cultivated at very high density and notably combines Petite Vidure, Castets, Tarnay, and Saint-Macaire. Vinified in neutral vessels, it is marketed as a Vin de France due to varietal and cultural choices outside the traditional framework of the appellation.

Histoire du domaine
Loïc Pasquet settled in Landiras in 2004 with the project of recovering certain characteristics of Bordeaux wines prior to phylloxera. There, he developed ungrafted plantings at a density reaching up to 20,000 vines per hectare and brought several historical grape varieties of the Graves back into cultivation. Denarius corresponds to a "climat" distinct from that of Liber Pater and covers approximately 6 hectares according to a Bordeaux source dedicated to the producer. The cuvée saw sporadic production starting in the 2000s—Terre de Vins cites 2007 and 2011—before becoming regular starting with the 2018 vintage. For this vintage, 1,200 bottles were produced; with volumes varying by year, no sufficiently verifiable fixed annual production is retained. Denarius is vinified without oak aging, notably in amphorae, in order not to add vessel aromas to the wine.
