Champagne Suenen - C + C Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut Bouteille (75cl)
Champagne Suenen C + C is a non-vintage Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut produced by Aurélien Suenen in Champagne. Crafted exclusively from Chardonnay, it blends grapes from the grand cru villages of Cramant and Chouilly, which inspired its name. The cuvée is vinified in a mix of neutral oak barrels and enameled steel tanks, then aged using concrete vats. Its dosage of 4 g/l highlights its extra-brut style.

Suenen
Located in Cramant, Champagne Suenen is a family estate managed by Aurélien Suenen since 2009. Its five hectares are spread across the grands crus of Cramant, Chouilly, and Oiry in the Côte des Blancs, as well as the Massif de Saint-Thierry. The estate notably crafts single-plot Blanc de Blancs, including La Cocluette and Les Robarts, as well as La Grande Vigne, made from Meunier in Montigny-sur-Vesle.

Histoire du domaine
The Suenen family has been established in Champagne for five generations: its winegrowing roots date back to 1898, while the founding of the estate is generally dated to 1905. After the Second World War, Bernard Suenen developed estate-bottling. His son Daniel expanded the vineyard, progressively increasing sales from around 4,000 to 20,000 bottles, and created the family's first vintage champagnes. When Daniel fell ill in 2008, Aurélien Suenen took on more responsibilities, then assumed management of the estate following his father's passing in 2009. He then restructured the range and the vineyard, discontinued the use of herbicides and insecticides starting in 2012, and deepened parcel-by-parcel vinification. Les Robarts, in Cramant, was isolated starting from the 2012 harvest; La Cocluette in Oiry, Le Mont-Aigu in Chouilly, and La Grande Vigne in Montigny-sur-Vesle followed with the 2013 vintage.
C + C
C+C is an extra-brut blanc de blancs champagne crafted from Chardonnays originating from several plots in Cramant and Chouilly. This non-vintage cuvée thus blends two grand cru terroirs from the northern Côte des Blancs. It stands out from the estate's parcel cuvées, which isolate a specific lieu-dit.
- Origin of the cuvée name
- The name C+C takes the initials of the two grand cru villages from which the blended Chardonnays originate: Cramant and Chouilly.
- Cuvée creation year
- 2013
- Style of the cuvée
- A precise and chalky blanc de blancs, combining finesse, depth, and texture. Its overall profile is fuller and more concentrated than that of Oiry, while retaining a fresh, saline, and persistent backbone.
- Position within the range
- Non-vintage blend of Cramant and Chouilly, positioned in the range before the single-vineyard vintage cuvées.
Histoire de la cuvée
The first documented edition is based on the 2013 harvest and was commercialized as a new cuvée combining the terroirs of Cramant and Chouilly. It is part of the range restructuring led by Aurélien Suenen to better distinguish the different geological expressions of the estate.
