La Chablisienne Chablis Bougros Grand Cru 2011 Bouteille (75cl)
The 2011 La Chablisienne Chablis Bougros Grand Cru is a white Burgundy wine made from 100% Chardonnay, crafted by La Chablisienne in the Bougros climat within the Chablis Grand Cru appellation. This Grand Cru originates from plots located on the right bank of the Serein, in the commune of Chablis, with a southwest exposure and planted on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils. The cuvée is vinified with alcoholic and malolactically fermented in barrels, then aged for approximately 14 months on fine lees in a combination of barrels and tanks.

La Chablisienne
Founded in Chablis in 1923, La Chablisienne is the sole cooperative winery in the Chablis vineyard region, bringing together nearly 250 winegrowers across approximately 1,200 hectares. It produces around thirty cuvées covering the four Chablis appellations, using musts pressed close to the plots and then vinified in its own facilities. Its heritage notably includes Château Grenouilles, within the Chablis Grand Cru Grenouilles climat.

Histoire du domaine
La Chablisienne was established in 1923 at the initiative of Abbé Balitrand, parish priest of Poinchy and a small vineyard owner, against a difficult economic backdrop for Chablis winegrowers. In its very first year, the cooperative brought together 180 members representing nearly 200 hectares. Originally, it primarily pooled commercialization: until the mid-1950s, members delivered already-made wines, which the winery blended and sold mainly to the wine trade. Starting in 1947, it progressively acquired vinification tools, then chose to receive harvests as musts in order to directly oversee fermentations and better connect each wine to its plot origin. The brand gained particular renown from the 1990s onward. Since 1999, La Chablisienne has also owned Château Grenouilles, located at the foot of the Grand Cru Grenouilles climat. Estelle Roy joined the team in 2019, working for four years alongside oenologist Vincent Bartement, before succeeding him in May 2023 to take charge of the tank room team and vinifications.
Bougros
Bougros is one of the seven officially recognized climats of the Chablis Grand Cru appellation, located at the northwestern end of the Grands Crus hill. Its upper part forms a broad terrace with a southwest exposure, while its lower part descends via a steeper slope with a south exposure. The climat is sheltered from the wind and its well-draining soils become deeper, more clayey and more marly on the upper terrace.

Histoire de la parcelle
Written mentions of Bougros are attested as early as the 15th century. The climat belongs to the historical group of the seven Chablis grands crus, recognized in wine literature in the 19th century and later designated as "grands crus classés" by producers in the early 20th century.
