Histoire du domaine
The name ‘Forey’ refers here to Domaine Forey Père et Fils in Vosne-Romanée. The Forey family historically worked La Romanée on a sharecropping basis for Canon Liger-Belair. Régis Forey moved to the estate in 1983 with his father and brother, and took over its management in 1989. From 1976 to 2005, he was also responsible for the winemaking at La Romanée and Aux Reignots, before these vineyards were taken over by the Liger-Belair family. Since 1999, the estate has leased a plot in Clos de Vougeot. In 2008, Régis Forey acquired an additional 20-are plot at Les Gaudichots, in Vosne-Romanée. The SCEA Domaine Forey Père et Fils, established in 1983, is currently owned by members of the Forey family. Since June 2024, Quentin Forey has been managing the company alongside Régis Forey. Recent sources describe Régis and Quentin Forey as working together to run the estate and oversee winemaking.
Les Perrières (Nuits-Saint-Georges) [Rouge]
Les Perrières is a climat officially classified as a Premier Cru of the AOC Nuits-Saint-Georges, corresponding in part to the cadastral lieu-dit of the same name. Situated above several neighboring crus, it occupies an east-southeast-facing slope, between approximately 260 and 275 meters of altitude. Its highly calcareous soils rest on Bathonian White Oolite, a limestone rock characteristic of this former quarrying sector. The climat mainly produces red wine, but it can also bear Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Perrières as a white.

Histoire de la parcelle
The climat is established in a former quarry district crossed since the 19th century by the route de Chaux. The White Oolite extracted locally was used to build houses in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the walls of the Saint-Symphorien church as well as parts of the cellar and vat room of the Clos de Vougeot; cut into thin slabs, it was also used for traditional lauze stone roofs. Les Perrières is among the delineated climats allowing the Premier Cru mention for Nuits-Saint-Georges.
