Ladoucette Pouilly Fumé 1996 Bouteille (75cl)
Ladoucette Pouilly Fumé 1996 is a white wine from the Loire Valley, produced by Ladoucette in the Pouilly Fumé appellation. It is made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc. This cuvée comes from the estate's vineyards located around the Château du Nozet in Pouilly-sur-Loire. The benchmark vinification for this cuvée favours free-run juice, slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and ageing on the lees without the use of oak, in order to preserve the freshness and expression of Sauvignon Blanc.

Histoire du domaine
The Domaine de Ladoucette is situated at Château du Nozet, in Pouilly-sur-Loire. The Lafond family of counts has owned vineyards in the Pouilly-Fumé region since the late 18th century; a professional source dates the acquisition of the family estate to 1787. The present château was rebuilt in the mid-19th century. In 1972, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette took over the management of the estate and devoted himself to winemaking. The estate subsequently modernised its winemaking facilities with the construction in 1989 of a three-storey gravity-fed winery, replacing the old cellar dating from 1805. Patrick de Ladoucette later expanded the family’s activities to the Sancerre vineyards under the name Comte Lafond. He also acquired the Clos de la Poussie in Sancerre. The Domaine de Ladoucette remains today the property of Baron Patrick de Ladoucette; Alexandre Bailly is credited as the winemaker.
