Jamet Cote Rotie Fructus Voluptas 2024 Bouteille (75cl)
Domaine Jamet presents Fructus Voluptas 2024, a red wine from the Côte-Rôtie appellation in the northern Rhône. This cuvée is crafted exclusively from Syrah, grown on schist soils. The grapes are largely destemmed, and the wine is aged for 16 months in oak barrels previously used for several vintages. Fructus Voluptas favors an accessible expression of fruit while retaining the aging potential announced by the estate.

Histoire du domaine
Domaine Jamet is part of the Jamet family’s wine-growing history in Ampuis, where the estate once combined vineyards and fruit orchards. Jean-Paul Jamet founded the estate at the hamlet of Le Vallin in 1975. The first harvest was bottled at the estate in 1976, following a period during which the produce was sold to wine merchants. Jean-Paul initially worked alongside his father Joseph, and later with his brother Jean-Luc. Over the years, the family built up a portfolio of plots on the slopes of Côte-Rôtie and expanded their range to include wines from Condrieu and the Côtes-du-Rhône. In 2013, the two brothers went their separate ways and Jean-Luc set up his own estate. Domaine Jamet has since remained under the management of Jean-Paul and his wife Corinne. Loïc Jamet has gradually become involved in the work in the cellar and the vineyard; in particular, he has been producing the Condrieu Vernillon since 2015 with his father’s support. Fanny and Loïc now carry on the family business alongside their parents.
Fructus Voluptas
Fructus Voluptas is a 100% Syrah Côte-Rôtie from schist soils. Its grapes are mostly destemmed, and it is aged for sixteen months in neutral oak barrels. It seeks a more immediate fruity expression while retaining aging potential.
- Origin of the cuvée name
- The name translates the stated goal of a more immediate pleasure centered on fruit and voluptuousness rather than power.
- Cuvée creation year
- 2008
- Style of the cuvée
- A supple, fresh, and intensely fruity Côte-Rôtie with fine tannins, designed to be more accessible in its youth than the classic cuvée without excluding aging.
- Position within the range
- A more immediately accessible Côte-Rôtie, positioned before the classic Côte-Rôtie in the estate's range.
Histoire de la cuvée
Created in 2008, the cuvée was initially intended to showcase vats not selected for the estate's main Côte-Rôtie. It now constitutes a distinct and regular reference in the Jamet range.
