Jamet Cote du Rhone Rouge Equivoque 2019 Bottle (75cl)
The 2019 Domaine Jamet Équivoque is a red wine from the Côtes du Rhône appellation, crafted in the Rhône Valley from 100% Syrah. Created in 2015, this cuvée comes from Côtes du Rhône plots bordering the Côte-Rôtie appellation, on schist soils. The harvest is partially destemmed, followed by approximately twenty days of maceration. The wine is aged for twenty-two months in barrels, an approach that highlights the singular and structured character of this expression of Syrah.

Histoire du domaine
Domaine Jamet is part of the Jamet family’s wine-growing history in Ampuis, where the estate once combined vineyards and fruit orchards. Jean-Paul Jamet founded the estate at the hamlet of Le Vallin in 1975. The first harvest was bottled at the estate in 1976, following a period during which the produce was sold to wine merchants. Jean-Paul initially worked alongside his father Joseph, and later with his brother Jean-Luc. Over the years, the family built up a portfolio of plots on the slopes of Côte-Rôtie and expanded their range to include wines from Condrieu and the Côtes-du-Rhône. In 2013, the two brothers went their separate ways and Jean-Luc set up his own estate. Domaine Jamet has since remained under the management of Jean-Paul and his wife Corinne. Loïc Jamet has gradually become involved in the work in the cellar and the vineyard; in particular, he has been producing the Condrieu Vernillon since 2015 with his father’s support. Fanny and Loïc now carry on the family business alongside their parents.

Équivoque is a red Côtes-du-Rhône from high-quality plots adjacent to the Côte-Rôtie area. The estate attributes a cellaring potential of fifteen to twenty years to it.

- Cuvée creation year
- 2015
- Style of the cuvée
- Structured schist-grown Syrah designed for aging, marked by partial destemming vinification, long maceration, and extended barrel aging.
- Position within the range
- A select Côtes-du-Rhône, sourced from plots bordering Côte-Rôtie and endowed with significant aging potential.
Histoire de la cuvée
This cuvée is the culmination of reflection by the estate on hillside plots with high qualitative expression located in Côtes-du-Rhône, bordering the Côte-Rôtie appellation. It was produced for the first time with the 2015 vintage.
