Domain Laurent Tribut Chablis Beauroy 2015
The 2015 Domaine Laurent Tribut Chablis Beauroy is a white Burgundy wine from the Beauroy climat, classified as Chablis Premier Cru. Made exclusively from Chardonnay, it comes from a hillside on the left bank of the Serein, in the commune of Poinchy-Chablis. The Beauroy climat, which also encompasses Côte de Savant and Troesmes, is distinguished by its slopes, lean soils blending stones and white marly clays, and its exposure to dry easterly winds. This Premier Cru thus combines the identity of Chablis Chardonnay with a recognized lieu-dit of the appellation.

Histoire du domaine
Laurent Tribut entered the Chablis wine industry through his marriage to Marie-Clotilde Dauvissat, daughter of René Dauvissat and sister of Vincent Dauvissat. He trained for around ten years with this family of Chablis winegrowers. The estate was established in Poinchy in 1987, using vines that the Dauvissat family had acquired near their own plots. During his early years in the business, Laurent Tribut vinified his wines in the Dauvissat family’s cellars before setting up his own winery in Poinchy. The vineyard has expanded across the Chablis appellation and includes plots classified as Premier Cru Beauroy, Côte de Léchet and Montmains, notably in the Les Forêts climat. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermentation takes place in vats, with partial ageing in old barrels depending on the cuvée. Laurent Tribut subsequently handed over the running of the estate to his children Adeline, Gabriel and Solange. Solange Tribut is now responsible for winemaking at the estate.
Beauroy
Beauroy is a flagship Chablis Premier Cru climat located on the left bank of the Serein, mainly in Poinchy, in the commune of Chablis. Its perimeter of about 64 hectares also encompasses the Troesmes and Côte de Savant climats, which extend into the commune of Beine. The hillside, which is steeply sloped and exposed to dry easterly winds, experiences a relatively dry water regime and remains susceptible to spring frosts. The topsoil, lean and shallow, contains small stones and white limestone clays with bluish highlights.

Histoire de la parcelle
The site was already cleared in the 12th century. The regulatory delimitation of Chablis Premier Cru climats attaches Beauroy to the cadastral lieux-dits of Sous Boroy, Vallée des Vaux, and Benfer in Chablis-Poinchy; Beauroy can also serve as an umbrella name for wines coming from Troesmes and Côte de Savant. In 1978, an artificial lake was created at the foot of Côte de Savant to supply water for frost protection by sprinkler irrigation in spring.
