It occupies the middle of the slope in the northern sector of the Volnay terroir, between Les Brouillards and En l'Ormeau. Histoire de la parcelle
Early 16th-century writings mention this site among the possessions of the Confrérie du Saint-Sacrement, presented as the heir to the Templars' property. The climat was ranked as a "tête de cuvée" in Dr. Lavalle's classification published in 1855. Today it falls under the AOC Volnay, recognized in 1937, with the right to the Premier Cru designation.
