Jura, Domaine l'Aigle à Deux Têtes Cotes du Jura, Pinot Noir 2022 Bouteille (75cl)
In 2022, Domaine de l’Aigle à Deux Têtes presents a red Côtes du Jura crafted exclusively from Trousseau, an emblematic grape variety of the Jura. This cuvée highlights the direct expression of the variety within the Côtes du Jura appellation. The 2022 vintage was vinified in wood, a choice that complements the structure of the Trousseau without altering the fresh and digestible identity sought for this Jura red.

Histoire du domaine
After scientific studies and a career in large corporations, Henri Le Roy realized his project of becoming a winemaker in 2005 by settling in the Jura, on an ancient vineyard around Vincelles and Grusse. The first references documented by the Guide Hachette mention Henri and Sabine Le Roy as well as cuvées such as En Griffez and Derrière la Roche. The estate subsequently developed a single-plot range including notably Les Clous, Derrière la Roche, and Vernambaud, crafted from Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir. Vineyard management, committed from the start to reducing inputs and avoiding chemical weeding, achieved organic certification in 2016. The estate's name refers to the Habsburg double-headed eagle, a historical reminder of the period when Franche-Comté belonged to the House of Austria. In 2021, Henri Le Roy de Présalé was documented as the majority partner and president of SAS Aigle à Deux Têtes; corporate registers still list him as president.
