Histoire du domaine
Domaine Sigaut stems from a family originally from Morey-Saint-Denis, and its history dates back to the early 19th century. The Sigaut family now represents the fifth generation to cultivate the vines. In the early 1950s, Maurice Sigaut carried out the estate’s first bottlings, notably a Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru ‘Les Sentiers’. In 1977, his son Hervé took over the vineyards from his grandmother Andrée and established an initial 5-hectare estate, before later taking over his father’s vineyards. Anne, then working as an interior designer and upholsterer in Nancy, took part in her first grape harvest at the estate in 1984. The estate expanded its presence in the Côte de Beaune in 1994 with the acquisition of a plot in Puligny-Montrachet. Anne Sigaut produced her first vintage in 2004. When Hervé Sigaut officially retired in 2008, she took over the management of the estate and assumed responsibility for winemaking. The vineyard now covers 7 hectares in Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis and Puligny-Montrachet.
Les Groseilles
Les Groseilles is a climat of Chambolle-Musigny officially recognized for the Premier Cru designation and producing exclusively red wine. The recognized perimeter corresponds only to a portion of the cadastral lieu-dit Les Groseilles, located in section AH. A data sheet specifically dedicated to the climat describes it as facing east to southeast, at an altitude of approximately 238 meters, on a very gentle slope and with very stony soil. The available geology mainly describes the general context of the Chambolle-Musigny hillside and does not allow a specific formation to be attributed with certainty to this climat.

Histoire de la parcelle
A 1929 judgment, confirmed on appeal in 1930, established an initial parcel delimitation for the fine wines of Chambolle. The AOC Chambolle-Musigny was recognized on September 11, 1936, and a list of climats eligible for the Premier Cru designation was established in 1943. Les Groseilles is listed today in the official specification book among the climats authorized to accompany this designation.
