Histoire du domaine
In 2018, brothers Antoine and Henri Jonquères and their childhood friend Helio Godefroy took over a family property of about 10 hectares near Saint-Génis-des-Fontaines in Roussillon, which belonged to an uncle of the brothers. At the time, the estate included roughly 4 hectares of old vines, peach and apricot orchards, and buildings requiring restoration. Antoine and Henri came from the theater and acting profession, whereas Helio had studied economics and finance before working in investment banking. The three partners initiated the organic conversion of the farm and began vinifying in an old mill in 2019 and 2020. Their neighbor Joseph, founder of Moulin de Breuil, introduced them to biodynamics and a mindful approach to plants and fermentations. In 2020, they traveled through the wine regions of southern France and Spain to meet natural winemakers; their encounter with Cyril Fhal from Clos du Rouge Gorge subsequently led to a consulting and friendly relationship. That same year, the purchase of a 0.5-hectare Muscat plot brought the vineyard area to approximately 4.5 hectares. The 2021 vintage marked their first professional production, totaling around 6,000 bottles. Between 2021 and 2022, the estate organized its lineup around cuvées such as Le Petit Kiff, Piano Piano, Agro, and Muskaban. The 2022 harvest was vinified in a cellar still under construction, using very limited equipment. An interview published in 2026 indicates an annual production now approaching 8,000 bottles.
