Jura Desire Petit Arbois Pupillin Vin Paille 1990 Half-Bottle
The 1990 Vin de Paille from Désiré Petit is a Jura wine from the Arbois appellation, associated with the village of Pupillin. It brings together Chardonnay, Poulsard, and Savagnin. For this cuvée, the estate selects the finest bunches, dried in the open air for several months before pressing, and then ages the wine in oak barrels for three years. Pupillin is the only village authorized to combine its name with that of Arbois in the Arbois-Pupillin designation.

Desire Petit
Domaine Désiré Petit is a family-run estate based in Pupillin, in the Jura wine region. Founded in 1932, it is now run by Anne-Laure and Damien Petit, the third generation of the family. The 27-hectare vineyard, certified as organic since 2022, spans the appellations of Arbois, Arbois-Pupillin, Côtes du Jura and Château-Chalon, amongst others.

Histoire du domaine
The estate was founded in Pupillin in 1932 by Désiré Petit, the grandfather of Anne-Laure and Damien Petit. That year, he planted his first Ploussard vines in the locality known as La Côte de Feule. In 1970, his sons Gérard and Marcel took over the estate, which at that time comprised just under 1.5 hectares of vines. They set about expanding it and, in 1976, planted a further five hectares in the commune of Grozon, in the Côtes du Jura. The vineyard was subsequently expanded through the acquisition of new plots. Anne-Laure and Damien Petit, Marcel’s children, joined the estate and took over its management in 2009. They are now co-managers of GAEC Désiré Petit and represent the third generation of the family. Damien Petit is responsible for winemaking, whilst Anne-Laure Petit is primarily involved in vineyard management and marketing. The estate now cultivates 27 hectares and was certified as an organic farm in 2022.
