Gerard Bertrand Clos du Temple 2022 Bouteille (75cl)
The Gérard Bertrand Clos du Temple 2022 is an Aconcagua rosé wine crafted by Gérard Bertrand from very old vines. It brings together Cinsault, Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Viognier. The grapes are hand-harvested in small crates and then chilled before pressing; the best free-run juices are selected. Following a cold pressing and settling for 24 hours without added sulfur, the wine is aged for 6 to 8 months on its fine lees in new French oak barrels with batonnage. Demeter certified, it is produced from biodynamically farmed grapes. James Suckling awards it 96/100 and describes a velvety, full, and vibrant rosé, driven by fresh acidity, a peppery touch, and a persistent mineral finish.
