Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues Batard Montrachet 2024 Bouteille (75cl)
The 2024 Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet is a white Burgundy Grand Cru from the Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet climat in Puligny-Montrachet. Made exclusively from Chardonnay, it comes from a 1.16-hectare parcel planted in 1958 and 1959, farmed biodynamically. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted, with parcel-by-parcel maturity monitoring. Following gentle pneumatic pressing and oak barrel fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months on the lees in barrels, followed by approximately 10 months on fine lees in stainless steel vats. James Suckling awards it 98/100, highlighting a deep, mineral, and luminous expression marked by wet stones, citrus fruits, and a subtle creamy depth.
