Histoire du domaine
The history of the Clément-Pichon estate dates back to the Middle Ages, and the property belonged to the Pichon family from 1601 to 1880. The present château was built in 1881 by the architect Louis Garros in the Neo-Renaissance style. The property has been listed as a historic monument since the decree of 16 June 2000. Clément Fayat acquired the property in 1976 and undertook the restoration of a 25-hectare vineyard. The estate took the name Château Clément-Pichon in 1985, in honour of Clément Fayat and the Pichon family. Jean-Claude Fayat officially took over the management of the family’s vineyards in 2012, alongside Laurent Fayat, continuing the family tradition. The château is now run by Vignobles Clément Fayat; Anne-Flore Raulier is the estate manager and Yann Monties serves as technical director, whilst Cécile Cazaux is the consultant oenologist.
