Histoire du domaine
The Champagne Henriot house was founded in 1808 by Apolline Henriot, the widow of Nicolas Henriot, who took over the family vineyard at that time. In 1880, Marie Marguet’s marriage to Paul Henriot brought Chardonnay plots in the Côte des Blancs into the family. These origins have contributed to the importance of Chardonnay in the historic identity of the house’s blends. The Henriot family has retained ownership of the house for several generations and incorporated it into its Maisons et Domaines Henriot group. Alice Tétienne joined Champagne Henriot in February 2020 and serves as cellar master. In the same year, the house launched the Alliance Terroirs programme, dedicated to understanding terroirs and adapting viticultural practices. On 29 September 2023, Terroirs et Vignerons de Champagne finalised the acquisition of Champagne Henriot from Artémis Domaines. Centre Vinicole et Associés, a subsidiary of TEVC, became the sole shareholder of Champagne Henriot. According to its official website, the house’s vineyard has been certified HVE, Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne and organic farming since January 2025.

Histoire de la cuvée
Created in 1889 following the reunion of the historical vineyards of the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, this cuvée has maintained the principle of an equal blend of the six founding Grands Crus. After notably bearing the name Baccarat, it was named Cuvée des Enchanteleurs by Joseph Henriot in 1986. Renamed Héméra starting with the 2005 vintage, it returns to its historical name with the 2015 vintage.
