Champagne Barons de Rothschild Rare Collection Blanc de Blancs 2012 Bouteille (75cl)
The Champagne Barons de Rothschild Rare Collection Blanc de Blancs 2012 is a vintage champagne from Champagne, produced by Barons de Rothschild from 100 % Chardonnay. This cuvée brings together exclusively four grands crus from the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Cramant, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The wines are vinified separately by parcel, mostly in small stainless steel tanks, with a small proportion in barrels, then aged for nine months on fine lees with regular battonage. Cellar aging on the lees lasts at least eight years, followed by a post-disgorgement rest of at least twelve months; the extra-brut dosage is 4 g/l. James Suckling awards it 93/100 and recommends enjoying it now, highlighting a creamy texture, notes of buttery brioche, baked apple and lemon, extended by a savory and discreet finish.

Histoire du domaine
Champagne Barons de Rothschild was founded in 2005 when three branches of the Rothschild family—already owners of Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Lafite Rothschild, and Château Clarke—joined forces to create a shared house rather than take over an existing structure. Today, they are represented by Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, Ariane de Rothschild, as well as Éric and Saskia de Rothschild. In 2007, the family acquired a private mansion in Reims intended to house the Maison's headquarters and receptions. In 2013, they purchased vineyards, a walled vineyard (clos), and a winemaking building constructed starting in 1874 in Vertus, formerly owned by the Prieur family. Guillaume Lété, who joined the team in 2011, subsequently became cellar master and has overseen the development of the vineyard and the definition of the cuvées' style. Following the decision in 2020 to leave the facilities of the Goutte d'Or cooperative, the Maison inaugurated a new production site in Oger in 2024, followed on June 25, 2025, by its winemaking cellar in Vertus. This latest inauguration coincides with the Maison's twentieth anniversary and the presentation of its first single-plot cuvée, Le Grand Clos, originating from a clos acquired in 2013 and progressively reconstituted by the family.
