Clos Saint Vincent
Le Clos Saint-Vincent is a family-run wine estate in the AOP Bellet, located on the heights of Nice and spanning the three hills of Crémat, Saint-Roman-de-Bellet, and Saquier. Joseph "Gio" Sergi and his son Julien farm ten hectares organically and biodynamically, focusing on the appellation's signature grape varieties: Rolle, Braquet, and Folle Noire. The production, entirely aged and bottled at the estate, reaches approximately 30,000 bottles per year.

Histoire du domaine
Le Clos Saint-Vincent belongs to the historic Nice vineyards of Bellet, which gained Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée status in 1941. In the spring of 1993, the Sicardi and Sergi families acquired the dormant property and set about reviving it. Roland Sicardi and Joseph "Gio" Sergi are recognized as the driving forces behind this revival. The vineyard was gradually expanded to ten hectares, spread across the appellation's three hills: Crémat, Saint-Roman-de-Bellet, and Saquier. The estate first adopted organic farming, followed by biodynamics, in order to work without synthetic chemicals and preserve its siliceous-limestone soils mixing puddinestone and rolled pebbles. Today, Gio Sergi continues this work alongside his son Julien, focusing in particular on the local grape varieties Rolle, Braquet, and Folle Noire.
Vino Di Gio
Vino di Gio refers to two distinct cuvees from the AOP Bellet, one white made from rolle and the other red made from folle noire. Sourced from the estate's oldest vines, they are produced in small quantities and aged in wood. They are distinguished from the Le Clos range by a more ambitious selection and a higher positioning.
- Origin of the cuvée name
- The name refers to Joseph Sergi, owner and winemaker of the estate, nicknamed "Gio".
- Style of the cuvée
- Concentrated yet fresh, complex and elegant wines, marked by sustained acidity and ambitious oak aging. The white combines the richness of rolle with a taut framework; the red seeks a refined and structured expression of folle noire.
- Position within the range
- The estate's confidential top-of-the-range cuvees, positioned above the Le Clos cuvees, available in white and red.
Histoire de la cuvée
Following the acquisition of Clos Saint-Vincent by the Sicardi and Sergi families in 1993, Joseph "Gio" Sergi developed Vino di Gio in white and red using the estate's oldest vines. 2007 vintages are documented, but the exact creation date has not been found.
