Champagne Jean-Marc Sélèque - Soliste 1er Cru Les Gayeres Pinot Noir Extra Brut 2018 Bouteille (75cl)
The Champagne Jean-Marc Sélèque Soliste 1er Cru Les Gayères Extra Brut 2018 is a sparkling white champagne from Pierry, classified as Premier Cru. Its declared grape variety is 100% Chardonnay. The Soliste cuvée comes from the 'Les Gayères' lieu-dit, a parcel planted in 1974, situated mid-slope and with a western exposure. The estate documents silty clay soils rich in flint calcites over a chalky subsoil. The vinification of this cuvée is carried out entirely in oak barrels for ten months, without fining or filtration, with an Extra Brut dosage of 1.5 g/l.

Histoire du domaine
The family history began with Henri Sélèque, who arrived in France from Poland in 1925. Settling with his wife Françoise Bagnost on a farm in Boursault, he planted vines in Moussy and Pierry in the 1960s, then produced and marketed his first bottles in 1969 with the help of his father-in-law Jean Bagnost, who was then president of the Pierry cooperative. Their son Richard joined the estate in 1974 after training in oenology. He modernized winemaking and aging practices, equipping the property with a press, vats, barrels, and its own bottling and disgorging line, while expanding the family vineyard toward Dizy, Mardeuil, and Vertus. After viticultural and oenological studies and experiences in Maison Chandon vineyards, particularly in the New World, Jean-Marc Sélèque returned to the estate in 2008 and took charge of winemaking. He gradually reoriented the viticulture toward a more precise expression of plots and natural balances. In 2015, Jean-Marc and his wife Oriane had a new winery built in Pierry.
