Histoire du domaine
The Sabon family has been established in Châteauneuf-du-Pape since the 16th century. Roger Sabon founded the estate bearing his name in 1952. The property subsequently expanded across both banks of the Rhône: around Châteauneuf-du-Pape on the left bank, as well as in Lirac and Côtes-du-Rhône on the right bank. The third generation continues the family business today. Didier Negron, a member of the family by marriage, has overseen vinification since 2001 and, since February 2021, has been one of the managers of SCEA Domaine Roger Sabon, alongside Julien Sabon and Delphine Sabon-Artaud. Professional sources currently record 48 hectares of vines and an average production of 150,000 bottles per year.
