Languedoc Roc Anglade Reserva Especial N 6 Rouge Bouteille (75cl)
Le Roc d’Anglade Reserva Especial N°6 Rouge is a non-millesimé red wine from Languedoc, produced by Domaine Roc d’Anglade. This Reserva cuvée relies on a blend of several vintages, in an approach inspired by Spanish reservas, combining the maturity of older wines with the energy of younger ones. Founded in Langlade by Rémy Pédréno in 1999, the estate favors minimal intervention during vinification and ageing.

Histoire du domaine
Winegrowing has a long history in Langlade: the archives of the Gard department mention vineyards in the commune as early as 936. The local vineyard underwent significant expansion in the 19th century, before being destroyed by phylloxera from 1878 onwards and then gradually replanted. Rémy Pédréno initially worked as a computer engineer between 1990 and 1998. At the same time, he gained his first experience in winemaking at Clos de la Belle, from 1996 to 2005. In 1999, with the support of René Rostaing in acquiring plots of land, he established the Roc d’Anglade estate in Langlade. Martine Guillem Pédréno joined the estate in 2001 as co-manager and plays a part in both winemaking and blending. The range of red and white grape varieties was expanded in 2002. The estate now cultivates 12 hectares and practises organic viticulture, with grapes harvested by hand. In 2026, Théo Baillet held the positions of vineyard manager and cellar master there.
Reserva Especial N°6
Reserva Especial N°6 is a non-vintage red wine resulting from the blend of several vintages of Roc d’Anglade rouge, documented from 2009 to 2017. This multi-vintage construction aims for a synthetic expression of the estate, where older wines bring depth and patina while younger ones preserve fruit and energy. The bottling of this sixth edition is documented in 2018.
- Origin of the cuvée name
- The name follows the Spanish tradition of "Reserva Especial", notably illustrated by Vega Sicilia, which involves blending several vintages to sustainably express a domain's identity. The number 6 designates the sixth edition.
- Cuvée creation year
- 2018
- Style of the cuvée
- Deep yet slender red, favoring freshness, texture finesse, and the complexity gained from blending vintages rather than power or concentration. The fruit remains vibrant, carried by fine tannins and a structure suited for aging.
- Position within the range
- Special multi-vintage cuvée expressing the memory and signature of the red wine of Roc d’Anglade.
Histoire de la cuvée
In 2008, Rémy Pédréno conceived the project of a Reserva Especial inspired by Spanish multi-vintage blends. The first blend in the series was made in 2013 using preserved wines from previous vintages. Reserva Especial N°6 constitutes the sixth edition of this work and brings together wines produced between 2009 and 2017.
