Château Malartic Lagraviere 1969 EA
Château Malartic Lagravière 1969 is a red wine from Pessac-Léognan, produced by Château Malartic-Lagravière, Cru Classé de Graves. It brings together Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. The estate is among the rare Graves crus classified for both its red and white wines, a dual recognition that sets this Léognan property apart. This older vintage expresses the historical identity of a great red Graves wine.

Histoire du domaine
Formerly known as Domaine de La Gravière, the estate has been situated on a gravelly hilltop in Léognan for several centuries. At the end of the 18th century, it was acquired by the Maurès de Malartic family. In 1850, Madame Arnaud Ricard named the estate Malartic-Lagravière, in reference to Hippolyte, Count of Malartic. The château has been listed amongst the classified growths of Graves for both red and white wines since the 1953 classification. The Marly family sold the estate to the Laurent-Perrier group in 1990. Michèle and Alfred-Alexandre Bonnie subsequently acquired the property at the end of 1996; the Bonnie family began their project at Malartic-Lagravière in 1997. A renovation programme was then undertaken, notably including the construction of a gravity-fed fermentation tank. Véronique and Jean-Jacques Bonnie now manage the family’s estates. The vineyard is managed using an agroecological approach, and Cécile Bernier is listed as cellar master by the *Revue du vin de France* in its 2026 guide.
