Domaine Louis Latour Côtes de Beaune Villages 2021 Bouteille (75cl)
The 2021 Domaine Louis Latour Côtes de Beaune Villages is a red Burgundy wine from the Beaune appellation, crafted by Domaine Louis Latour. Classified as a Village wine, it is made from 100% Pinot Noir. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the wine is traditionally vinified in open vats before being aged for 10 to 12 months in stainless steel vats and French oak barrels. The 2021 vintage reveals notes of underbrush, small red berries, and mocha, complemented by a round, silky palate and an ethereal finish.

Histoire du domaine
The Latour family’s first vineyard acquisitions date back to 1731. The family settled in Aloxe-Corton in 1768, at the foot of the Corton hill, which remains the historic centre of its vineyard. Maison Louis Latour was founded in 1797. It began exporting its wines as early as 1815 and gradually expanded its commercial activities throughout the 19th century. In 1867, the family acquired the Lamarosse Père et Fils wine merchant’s business in Beaune, becoming both a wine merchant and winemaker whilst continuing to operate as a winegrower. In 1891, it acquired the château, the winery and the vineyards of Corton-Grancey, which had been severely affected by phylloxera at the time, and subsequently replanted the affected plots. At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the estate expanded its holdings through acquisitions in Corton-Charlemagne, amongst the grands crus of the Côte de Nuits, and then in Chevalier-Montrachet in 1913. The Corton Grancey winery, built in the 1830s and acquired in 1891, remains the site where the wines of Domaine Louis Latour are vinified and matured. The estate has been committed to sustainable agriculture since 1998 and states that it has been ISO 14001 certified since 2003. Following the death of Louis-Fabrice Latour in 2022, Florent Latour took over as head of the estate in 2023. Christophe Deola, estate manager since 2017, oversees the winemaking process.
