Histoire du domaine
The Roulot family has been based in Meursault since the late 18th century. The estate, in its modern form, developed primarily from the 1950s onwards under the leadership of Guy Roulot, born in 1929. His marriage to Geneviève Coche coincided with the expansion of the family’s wine-growing estate. Guy Roulot played a key role in promoting the separate bottling of wines from several ‘lieux-dits’ in Meursault. Following his death in 1982, the estate was temporarily managed by a succession of winemakers. His son Jean-Marc Roulot, who was then pursuing a career as an actor in Paris, finally took over the estate in January 1989. He continued to expand the vineyard and converted the vines to organic farming from 1999 onwards. The estate is now run by Jean-Marc Roulot, with Éric Bodin as cellar master and head of winemaking at his side.
Luchets
Les Luchets is a cadastral lieu-dit in the Meursault appellation, located in the northern sector of the vineyard, near the border with Auxey-Duresses. The BIVB lists it among the lieu-dits of Meursault and not among the officially classified Premier Cru climats, contrary to the classification indicated in the provided context. A producer's technical sheet documents an eastern exposure and a structured, porous clay-limestone soil for this site.
