Domaine des Murmures Chardonnay 2016 Magnum (150cl)
The 2016 Domaine des Murmures Chardonnay is a Jura white wine crafted by Domaine des Murmures and classified as a Vin de France. This Chardonnay cuvée is associated with Emmanuel Lançon, at the helm of a very small Jura estate. The estate farms Chardonnay on a micro-plot and champions natural vinification with no additives, no added sulfur, and no fining or filtration. This Jura white thus highlights the direct expression of both the grape variety and its terroir.

Histoire du domaine
Domaine des Murmures is the wine estate run by Emmanuel Lançon, based in Les Arsures, in the Jura. Originally from Provence, Emmanuel Lançon settled in the Jura vineyards after working with local winegrowers. Specialist sources date the launch of his own wine production to 2012. His sole trader business, registered under the name Domaine des Murmures, was established on 1 January 2013. The estate cultivates, in particular, traditional Jura grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard and Trousseau. Several sources describe the vineyard management as being carried out using organic and biodynamic methods, with soil cultivation sometimes carried out using horses. Emmanuel Lançon carries out the winemaking and bottling himself. The vineyard’s area is not specified here, as the available sources differ significantly, ranging from less than one hectare to several hectares.
