Château De Marbuzet
Château de Marbuzet is a former Cru Bourgeois in Saint-Estèphe, distinct from Château Haut-Marbuzet. Closely linked to Château Cos d’Estournel for nearly a century, it had a 7-hectare vineyard before its parcels were integrated into that of Cos d’Estournel. Production under the Château de Marbuzet label appears to have ceased after the 2007 vintage.

Histoire du domaine
Château de Marbuzet shares much of its modern history with Château Cos d’Estournel. Fernand Ginestet acquired both properties in 1917. Marbuzet then passed to his daughter Arlette Ginestet, wife of Jean-Honoré Prats, and Bruno Prats took over the management of the estates in 1971. During this period, Marbuzet was notably used to market a selection comprising wines from the young vines of Cos d’Estournel. This function ended with the creation of Les Pagodes de Cos starting from the 1994 vintage, after which Château de Marbuzet was produced from its own vines. After a brief period of ownership by the Taillan group and its partners starting in 1998, Château de Marbuzet was acquired along with Cos d’Estournel by Michel Reybier in November 2000. Professional sources consulted indicate that in 2008 its 7 hectares were integrated into the vineyard of Cos d’Estournel, notably for the production of Les Pagodes de Cos, and cite 2007 as the last vintage commercialized under the Château Marbuzet name.
