Champagne Jean-Marc Sélèque - Soliste 1er Cru Chardonnay Extra Brut 2018 Bouteille (75cl)
The Champagne Jean-Marc Sélèque Soliste 1er Cru Chardonnay Extra Brut 2018 is a white champagne from France, produced in Champagne by Jean-Marc Sélèque. This vintage cuvée is made exclusively from Chardonnay. Soliste Chardonnay comes from the blending, prior to pressing, of two neighboring parcels in the Premier Cru terroir of Pierry, Les Tartières and Les Porgeons, planted respectively in 1990 and 1985. Vinification is carried out in oak casks for ten months, without fining or filtration, to express the tension, volume, and freshness of the Chardonnays from the Coteaux Sud d’Épernay.

Histoire du domaine
The family history began with Henri Sélèque, who arrived in France from Poland in 1925. Settling with his wife Françoise Bagnost on a farm in Boursault, he planted vines in Moussy and Pierry in the 1960s, then produced and marketed his first bottles in 1969 with the help of his father-in-law Jean Bagnost, who was then president of the Pierry cooperative. Their son Richard joined the estate in 1974 after training in oenology. He modernized winemaking and aging practices, equipping the property with a press, vats, barrels, and its own bottling and disgorging line, while expanding the family vineyard toward Dizy, Mardeuil, and Vertus. After viticultural and oenological studies and experiences in Maison Chandon vineyards, particularly in the New World, Jean-Marc Sélèque returned to the estate in 2008 and took charge of winemaking. He gradually reoriented the viticulture toward a more precise expression of plots and natural balances. In 2015, Jean-Marc and his wife Oriane had a new winery built in Pierry.
