Beaucastel CDP Rouge Les Sinards Perrin Et Fils 2014 Demi Bouteille (37,5cl)
The 2014 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge Les Sinards is crafted by Château de Beaucastel, owned by Perrin et Fils in the Rhône Valley. Its blend brings together Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Terret Noir. The cuvée comes predominantly from young vines at Beaucastel, supplemented by a nearby vineyard farmed by the family. The soils combine ancient marine molasse and Alpine pebble deposits. Aging lasts for one year in foudres, following vinification that combines a Beaucastel-inspired approach with traditional destemmed winemaking.

Histoire du domaine
The first records of the estate date back to 1549, when Pierre de Beaucastel acquired a barn and land at a place known as Coudoulet. A manor house was subsequently built on the estate. In 1687, a descendant of the same name was appointed by Louis XIV as captain of the town of Courthézon. After several centuries in existence, the estate was acquired in 1909 by Pierre Tramier. He subsequently passed Beaucastel on to his son-in-law, Pierre Perrin, who helped to modernise it. Jacques Perrin continued to develop the estate until 1978. His sons, Jean-Pierre and François Perrin, then took over. The fifth generation of the Perrin family is now involved in running the estate. The Beaucastel vineyard covers 130 hectares, 100 of which are situated within the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. A new winery, spearheaded by the fifth generation, was inaugurated in May 2025.
Les Sinards
Les Sinards is a Châteauneuf-du-Pape cuvée marketed by Famille Perrin and closely linked to Beaucastel. The red primarily blends young vines from Beaucastel and grapes from two neighboring vineyards; the white comes from the Clos de Châteauneuf-du-Pape and parcels managed by the Beaucastel team. Both versions aim for a more accessible expression in their youth than the main wines of Château de Beaucastel.
- Style of the cuvée
- The red, dominated by Grenache, generally displays a generous, fruity, and spicy profile, with a broad texture and accessible tannins. The white favors freshness, floral finesse, roundness, and balance.
- Position within the range
- The other Châteauneuf by Famille Perrin, more accessible in its youth than the main cuvées of Beaucastel.
Histoire de la cuvée
Official documentation presents Les Sinards as "the house's other Châteauneuf". The red version has historically been crafted from young Beaucastel vines and neighboring vineyards; its current parcel composition brings together Beaucastel, Clos de Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Le Grès. A white version, rare and produced in limited quantities, is also marketed under this name from the Clos de Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
