Histoire du domaine
Vincent Dancer settled in 1996 at the age of 22 in the family property in Chassagne-Montrachet after studying viticulture and oenology in Beaune. He started with about 3.5 hectares of family vines; his uncle Philippe Ballot, a winemaker in Meursault, helped him with the first vintage, as the estate did not yet have its own winery. The winery was built in 1997 and then gradually expanded. From the very beginning, Vincent Dancer implemented organic farming in the vineyard, which was officially certified in 2012. His son Théo joined the estate in 2016 and took full responsibility for winemaking in 2021. Starting with the 2024 vintage, the name used evolves from Domaine Vincent Dancer to Domaine Dancer, while both Vincent and Théo Dancer remain co-managers of the legal entity. The family vineyard now covers approximately 8 hectares across several communes in the Côte de Beaune.
Tête du Clos
Tête du Clos is an officially demarcated climat of the AOC Chassagne-Montrachet, approved with the Premier Cru designation for both white and red wines. It is located in the southern part of the village territory and corresponds to cadastral plots 22 to 27 of section AT; the Climats de Bourgogne dossier links it to the large lieu-dit Morgeot. Professional sources locate the vines vinified under this name at around 255 to 270 meters of altitude, with a south-east exposure and thin, stony soils, although these indications are not established for the entirety of the climat by an official cartographic source.

Histoire de la parcelle
The climat appears in the regulatory specifications of Chassagne-Montrachet among the names that can accompany the Premier Cru designation. The application dossier for the Climats du vignoble de Bourgogne identifies it in the 1966 cadastre under section AT, while an INAO document from 2016 confirms its demarcation on cadastral plots 22 to 27.
