Histoire du domaine
The origins of this family-run estate in Volnay, formerly known as Domaine Réyane et Pascal Bouley, date back to the 1850s. After studying winemaking through an apprenticeship in the family estate and studying oenology in Dijon, Pierrick Bouley expanded his experience in New Zealand, notably at Felton Road in 2010. He then worked alongside his father before taking over the reins of the estate in 2014. Pierrick took full charge of vinification starting in 2016, and then the management of the entire vineyard in 2017. The estate was renamed Domaine Pierrick Bouley starting with the 2019 vintage, marking the transition to the sixth generation. The vineyard covers approximately 9 hectares divided into 41 parcels, with an average vine age close to 60 years.
Robardelle
Robardelle is a climat of the Volnay appellation located at the southern end of the Volnay vineyard, near the border with Meursault and below En Chevret. The production regulations recognize Robardelle as a climat classified as a Premier Cru, while specifying that only part of the cadastral lieu-dit Robardelle belongs to the Premier Cru area. Available technical descriptions indicate a south to south-east exposure and shallow stony and silty soils, combined with marl, limestone, and gravelly-silty scree.

Histoire de la parcelle
The Volnay appellation was recognized by decree on September 9, 1937. In the INAO production regulations, the specific parcel area eligible for the Premier Cru designation is the result of delimitations approved on September 20, 1984, November 9, 2005, and November 10, 2005; Robardelle appears there as a climat of the commune of Volnay corresponding to the lieu-dit Robardelle "in part". Professional historical sources also report that La Robardelle was classified as a second cuvée by Jules Lavalle in 1855, and then as a first cuvée by Camille Rodier in 1920.
