Maison Pierre André Bonnes Mares 2001 Bottle (75cl)
Maison Pierre André Bonnes Mares 2001 is a red Burgundy wine produced by Maison Pierre André, made from 100% Pinot Noir. Associated with Chambolle-Musigny, it originates from the Bonnes-Mares parcel and holds the Burgundy Grand Cru classification. The Bonnes-Mares vineyard is located between Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis, with the majority lying within the territory of Chambolle-Musigny. This cuvée thus pairs a 2001 vintage with one of the great terroirs of the Côte de Nuits.

Histoire du domaine
Pierre André, a veteran, founded his wine merchant company in Paris in 1923. In 1927, he acquired Château d'Aloxe-Corton, recognizable by its glazed tile roof, and established it as the iconic headquarters of his Burgundian house. He then developed his sales to the restaurant industry and in 1938 purchased a Parisian establishment to showcase his wines. Upon his death in 1972, his winegrowing and commercial activities passed to his son-in-law Gabriel Liogier. The latter sold them in 2002 to the Ballande group. The house and its brands were taken over by Béjot Vins & Terroirs in 2014, while the château and its vineyard were subsequently acquired separately by the Frey family. In 2016, the buyout of Béjot by Les Grands Chais de France brought the Pierre André brand into the portfolio of the Helfrich family group. It is now presented by Maison François Martenot as a merchant house committed to the appellations of Burgundy. No vineyard area or annual production specific solely to the Pierre André brand is published in a sufficiently verifiable manner.
Bonnes-Mares
Bonnes-Mares is a physically delineated Grand Cru of the Côte de Nuits, split between Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis, with the largest portion located in Chambolle-Musigny. The vineyard forms approximately a rectangle south of Clos de Tart, on a gently sloping hillside with an easterly exposure. The light, gravelly, brown to reddish soils containing clay with flint rest on Jurassic limestone and white marl.

- Origin of the vineyard name
- Name attested since the late Middle Ages, of uncertain etymology. The BIVB favors the hypothesis of the old verb "marer", meaning to cultivate with care, rather than a reference to mother goddesses.

Histoire de la parcelle
The vineyard has been known as Bonnes-Mares since the late Middle Ages. The appellation of origin was recognized by the decree of December 8, 1936. Its production parcel area was subsequently approved by the INAO during the sessions of July 24, 1965 and June 1-2, 1988.
