Marc Roy
Located in Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Marc Roy is a 3.8-hectare family estate managed and vinified by Alexandrine Roy. Its fragmented vineyard mainly produces several expressions of Gevrey-Chambertin, including Clos Prieur, as well as a white Marsannay from the Les Champs Perdrix climat. Alexandrine Roy personally runs this small-scale estate, whose average annual production is estimated at 15,000 bottles.

Histoire du domaine
The estate was founded by Victor Roy, Alexandrine Roy's great-grandfather, within a family of winemakers. Her grandfather André developed the estate, whose wines were then mainly sold to wine merchants. A decisive step took place in 1982 when Marc Roy, Alexandrine's father, chose to bottle the entire production at the estate. After winemaking experiences in Australia and New Zealand, followed by the 2002 harvest in Bandol, Alexandrine joined her parents in Gevrey-Chambertin in 2003. Representing the fourth generation, she then took full responsibility for the property in 2005 and created the Cuvée Alexandrine the same year. She continues the family work by notably reinforcing soil ploughing, yield control, and precision in vineyard management.
Clos Prieur
Clos Prieur is a climat of Gevrey-Chambertin whose upper part, registered in the land registry as Clos Prieur-Haut, is classified as a Premier Cru, while Clos Prieur-Bas falls under the village appellation. The Premier Cru is located south of the village, immediately east and below Mazis-Chambertin, near Chapelle-Chambertin. It occupies a gentle slope facing east, at an altitude of around 280 meters. The soil is clay-limestone and stony; geological mapping distinguishes entroquitic limestone in the lower part of the climat and stratified scree (grèzes litées) in the other part.

Histoire de la parcelle
The site formerly belonged to the priory of Cluny, a historical origin confirmed by several estates farming the climat. The Gevrey-Chambertin appellation was recognized on September 11, 1936; the official specifications authorize the use of "Clos Prieur" with the Premier Cru designation and attach this name to the cadastral locality of Clos Prieur-Haut.
