Histoire du domaine
The documented history of Château Livran dates back to 1280, when the property was associated with the brothers de Got, a family from which Bertrand de Got would become Pope Clement V. The estate subsequently passed through the hands of several noble families, then a London wine merchant house, the Denman company, and businessman Robert Godfrin. Acquired in 2008 by Russian investor Alexey Shkrapkin, it underwent a renovation program at that time. In 2013, Edwige Lurton-Michon, daughter of Lucien Lurton, and her husband Olivier Michon took over Château Livran. They initiated a major restructuring, including the replanting of approximately 20 hectares and the construction of a new vat room in 2016. Winemaking is currently overseen by Larissa Schapitz.
