Histoire du domaine
The estate traces its origins to the early 1920s through the union of the Noëllat and Barthod families, which created Domaine Barthod-Noëllat. Gaston Barthod, originally from a Jura family, married a descendant of the Noëllat family and subsequently took over management of the estate after his military service in the 1950s. His daughter Ghislaine began working closely with him during the 1980s and, along with Louis Boillot, acquired the current premises overlooking the Premier Cru Les Feusselottes in 1986. She took full reins of the estate in 1999 following her father's passing, enhancing the recognition of this property centered on the diverse terroirs of Chambolle-Musigny. Their son Clément Boillot-Barthod joined the winemaking team for the 2018 vintage and has directed it ever since, notably by reducing the proportion of new oak barrels and extending the aging period.
Les Charmes (Chambolle Musigny)
Les Charmes is a climat of Chambolle-Musigny entirely classified as Premier Cru and officially recognized among the geographical designations of the appellation. It is located in the eastern part of the hillside, below Les Plantes and Les Feusselottes, in the northward extension of Les Amoureuses. The terrain, with a southeast exposure, combines limestone soils with alluvial and stony materials, while its geology varies within the climat, notably featuring Comblanchien limestone in its upper part.

Histoire de la parcelle
A 1929 judgment defined the Chambolle-Musigny appellation of origin and established a first plot-by-plot delimitation of the communal vineyard. The Chambolle-Musigny appellation contrôlée was then recognized in 1936, with Les Charmes listed among its climats classified as Premier Cru. In 2013, the INAO approved the mapping of the final delimitation of the commune's Premier Cru classified climats.
